This intensive 3-day workshop-style course is designed to focus on the subject and practice of Project Auditing and how to assure project success. This course is designed for anyone working in a project team environment that is increasingly required to manage complex projects. For project assurance an international standard is required to ensure auditing is done according to accepted best practices. The PMI PMBoK® global standard and the project scope and risk management processes that are used are applicable to the majority of projects whatever the industry sector –petrochemical, construction, telecoms, IT software, finance, banking and others.
Project Managers are expected to manage their projects within the triple constraints of scope, cost, and schedule. Keeping this balance is key to maintaining project control. How does the Business assure itself that its projects and project managers are applying best practices to deal with typical areas of challenge and avoid common pitfalls? This course explores the approaches and tactics that project auditors and senior managers may take to assure the business that projects are governed correctly, and where necessary, the steps that need to be in place to rescue a project that may be in trouble.
