Power Quality and Harmonics

A practical workshop on problems and solutions for power quality management

OVERVIEW

Modern electrical networks and industrial facilities are increasingly challenged by poor power quality, harmonics, transient disturbances, and voltage instability—issues that directly impact equipment reliability, safety, energy efficiency, and operational costs. As systems become more complex and interconnected, maintenance teams and engineers are under pressure to diagnose problems faster, work safely on energized systems, and prevent failures before they escalate into costly downtime or asset damage.

The Power Quality and Harmonics Masterclass is a practical, hands-on workshop designed to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. Drawing on industry case studies, international standards, and proven best practices, the program equips participants with the skills to analyze power quality issues, mitigate harmonics, protect critical equipment, and implement effective maintenance and monitoring strategies. Participants will leave with actionable tools and insights to improve system performance, strengthen safety culture, and make informed technical and operational decisions in both utility and industrial environments.

Why attend this Masterclass?

  • Reduce costly downtime and avoid unnecessary replacement of electrical components through accurate diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Strengthen understanding of power quality principles and their impact on equipment reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance
  • Learn how unbalance, poor power factor, and harmonics affect protection systems and overall electrical system performance
  • Gain practical insight into generation and grid limitations to manage voltage and frequency instability effectively
  • Interpret power quality codes, standards, and performance limits in clear, practical terms
  • Refresh essential electrical theory and calculations needed for real-world maintenance and fault analysis—without heavy mathematics
  • Apply learning through international case studies, real scenarios, and visual demonstrations
