This program provides the essential skills in fundamental statistics, exploratory data analysis, and predictive models used to analyze data in various sectors of O&G. You will gain the working understanding and appreciation of analytical methodologies, statistical data-driven techniques, and soft computing approaches to turn raw data into actionable knowledge.
The course starts with a review of fundamental statistical techniques and analytical workflows. It moves across the analytical maturity curve from exploratory data analysis to predictive and prescriptive methodologies. All case studies illustrate these soft computing models implemented against E&P data to solve business issues. Key topics include exploratory visualization techniques to discover trends and patterns; how to build a predictive model; & how to score and operationalize a model. We shall close by applying techniques covered in the course against data brought by attendees.
