Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting desktop and telephone research within a specified industry (i.e. Oil & Gas, Finance, Manufacturing, Telecommunications etc), as well as sourcing for industry experts to facilitate the training course/conference.

CORPORATE SALES EXECUTIVE

Salvo is in the business of providing Corporate Events operating in the B2B (business-to-business) environment and servicing corporate entities of varied Industries. Our events are conceptualized and produced by our in-house expert producers. Requirements:

  • Bright, confident, highly motivated, disciplined and quick learner.
  • Result and target-oriented and possess a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Can speak and write in good English.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial approach and good research skills (this is a requirement).
  • Commercial experience, preferably in a B2B business environment (similar conferencing industry) will be an advantage (*those with direct and proven experience will be considered for more senior roles)
  • A Bachelor Degree (we will consider Diploma Graduates with sales experience)

 

Responsibilities:

  • This is a B2B Indoor phone-based position which requires you to COLD CALL into Large MNCs and Fortune 500 companies around the Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East Region
  • Comfortable and confident in pitching your ideas over the phone to C-level Executives (i.e. Directors, CEO, CFO, COO, GMs etc).
  • Research, analyse, identify/capitalise new market opportunities and drive delegate sales in the respective region for each sales cycle (2 months).
  • Assist the Regional Sales Manager in establishing a Sales strategy/development plan.
  • Participate in the staff development programme within SALVO’s framework
  • To support a culture that promotes teamwork, integrity and discourages divisiveness and negativity at all organisational levels.

  • Be able to read and digest information quickly to grasp topics/concepts across diverse industries & job functions
  • Speak confidently on the phone to connect well with senior level decision-makers
  • Possess excellent written and spoken English
  • Be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines
  • PREFERABLY SINGAPOREANS and SINGAPORE PERMANENT RESIDENTS

What does a conference researcher/producer do?

  • Conduct internet & telephone research with senior decision-makers to understand training/conference topics & identify key training gaps/industry trends. Candidates should be comfortable with cold-calling and leads will not be provided.
  • Acquire respected highly-experienced trainers/speakers and negotiate commercial terms of engagement to keep within budget.
  • Create original contents for marketing copy to convey course benefits clearly & attractively.
  • Brief the sales team effectively on the topic, key selling points, target audience etc. and provide assistance throughout the sales cycle.
  • Work closely with various departments to resolve any issues and ensure successful delivery.
  • Keep to tight production schedules & be resilient under stress.
